As a publicly-owned organization, Singing River Health System is governed by a nine-member Board of Trustees, which meets regularly each month.

The Jackson County Board of Supervisors appoints seven of the board members, while the Chiefs of Staff at Singing River Hospital and Ocean Springs Hospital occupy the two remaining seats. Board members serve five-year terms.
